Spanish Flan

At out Mexican Christmas Eve Feast we served Flan for dessert.  Its my youngest sister's favorite dessert and it just so happened to fit the Mexican food criteria!  It is a nice change from the typical desserts we eat.  Flan is a sweet custard dessert.  If you haven't given it a try, you really need to!  It is SO easy to make and tastes great!

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until liquefied and golden in color.  Carefully pour hot syrup into a 9 inch round glass baking dish, turning the dish to evenly coat the bottom and sides.  Set aside.

Bake at 350 for 60 minutes.  Let cool completely.
